ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARADIGM SHIFT
ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPLICATIONS FOR GREAT BRITAIN

Picture

Our Project

This project aims to provide an unbiased and academic assessment of the future of Electric Vehicles in the Great Britain. We take a scenario based approach for how EVs could progress up until 2050. Using these scenarios, the possible Technical, Economic, Practical and Sustainable Implications are quantified, assessed and discussed. Using our research and data we provide an overall assessment of the transition, incorporating the numerous effects associated with electric vehicles.

Key Questions

Within this project there are several key questions that we strived to answer, outlined below. If you would like to find the approach that was taken and the conclusions for each question, please click the corresponding link.
How could electric vehicles progress in Great Britain?
Is the total number of cars moving towards saturation?
What are the Technical, Economic, Practical and Sustainable Implications and that must be acknowledged when considering the progressions of electric vehicles?
Do Electric Vehicles have any emissions when driving?

Electric Vehicles Tool - Analysis Spreadsheet

The tool crafted for this analysis, has been formulated and made available on this website. This is designed to assist policy-makers in understanding the numerous implications that will need to be mitigated, with quantifications on an annual basis, that can lead to well-constructed policies and government targets; giving the ability to generate custom scenarios with some key results quantified. Furthermore, the public's understanding of what such transition entail, is vital to the adoption of electric vehicles. The tool therefore also aims at guiding and providing an insight to the public through full transparency of the transition's analysis.

On the bottom of this page you can find the spreadsheet with the 'EV Tool', why don't you try it and create your own EV Scenario?
