The Aims and Objectives of the Project

“The project involves investigating the impact of current and proposed Renewables technologies, against site power demand, to establish an optimal mix of technologies that will achieve our goals”

The objectives of our project were developed by investigating the site power requirements and assessing these against the GSK sustainability objectives:

•  To become CO2 Neutral,

•  To Reduce and Stabilise the Energy Impact, on Cost of Goods.

•  To Improve Energy Security of Supply.

To achieve this, we developed our own group objectives that included:

•  Creating an analysis tool for site power supply & demand

•  Quantify Autonomy

•  Identify the optimum technology mix by developing a selection matrix.

This was done with the intention of being able to applying this tool, to any similar production facility in the future.
