Tools

A number of different software applications were used in this project and all had a significant contribution to obtaining the necessary results.

Where possible, lift and drag data for aerofoil profiles was taken from experimental data. Data was read from graphical representation of experimental result. Where experimental data could not be found, approximate aerofoil characteristics were calculated using computer programs XFOIL/RFOIL/XFLR5.
