Supply Profiles

The supply profiles which have been developed as part of this project are provided by wind turbines and solar photovoltaics. There are several reasons why we have limited the generation types to these ones:

- Since we are only considering an electrical supply within the scope of the project, we are using only electrical supplies.

- Hydro generation is site specific so it is not relevant to our method which is applicable to any community.

- Following our literature review, we have concluded that the majority of community renewables are majoratively wind and PV.

The input data which has been used for the renewable technologies is generic data for a range of sizes of the specified technologies.
