The first case study was carried out on 8 household tenement blocks. These buildings are often old (pre-1919), and many are owned by Glasgow Housing Association for Social Housing.
To create our case study we had to assume several parameters.
The Case study looked into the impact of changing to the new system:
In the 8-household tenement block employing micro-CHP will be investigated. At 1kWe, WhisperGen is the smallest commercially available micro-CHP unit on the UK market. Around 80,000 of these units have been installed in the UK.
