When considering using biomass a fuel source, the supply of fuel is an extremely important consideration.

While it is possible to source biomass within the UK, a large scale industry may place a strain on the supply. This may lead to the need for biomass to be imported from Scandinavian countries or North America. These regions may be better suited to supplying large volumes.

This section of the project investigated different supply options for large scale industrial plants. This included the biomass type, biomass land use and local sourcing considerations.
