Overview

The use of Information & Communcation Technology (ICT) is anticipated to increase in the teaching methods of the future. We envision a world where every student and teacher has individually assigned equipment. But what would be the effects on the classroom's thermal comfort levels if this were to occur? With today's technology, one might expect the room to overheat. What are the energy trends in ICT? What about the same scenario in future buildings with increased building standards? Finally, what impact will the increased ICT have on the school's energy consumption?

These questions are the premise of our project. While "The Future of Schools" is a very broad topic, we wanted to focus on something that plays an integral role in education now and in the future.
