About the Project

This group project was undertaken as part of the 2016/17 MSc in Sustainable Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. It investigates the large scale retrofit of residential buildings in Scotland, using the building energy modelling tool HEM to generate the first high resolution residential building stock model for Scotland.

The modelling and results here can be used as a basis for future investigations into large scale retrofit options and show the potential role that building retrofit has as part of Scotland's future energy strategy.
