Project Objectives :

"To carry out a feasibility study and impact evaluation of Dynamic Façades."
The Main Aim of Dynamic 
Façades 
Group Project  2014-2015
As a team, we formulated a general methodology, using numerous design tools, to determine the feasibility of dynamic façades for any given group of buildings. This was applied to a specific case study, such as a shading model, a glazing model and phase change material model etc, to apply the theoretical approach to a real life scenario. The feasibility was investigated for different climates, locations and times. We included a financial and carbon saving analysis for each case study, to help a potential client considering utilizing one of these technologies to make an informed decision before investing and integrating dynamic façades into their building.

The project objectives are:

• Investigate how dynamic façades can be utilized to control energy use in      buildings.
• Investigate various technology innovations in dynamic façades
.
• Develop new methodology to evaluate dynamic façade
  performance.

  • Energy saving performance for different case studies of dynamic façades
