AIM OF THE PROJECT


         To investigate energy systems at Findhorn Eco-Village 
	  
	            and provide scope for future improvements.



Areas OF THE PROJECT

This project has been divided into 4 parts which individual objectives are outline below

Heating Systems


The objective was to model specific heating systems to quantify potential energy savings and load shifting.

New Generation

The objective was to consider additional renewable generation opportunities (tidal stream was the final selected technology).

Electricity Storage

The objective was to investigate potential methods of electricity energy storage to utilise excess from wind generation

S&D Match


The objective was to analyse supply and demand match to compare the initial scenario with the improvements proposed.
