High Appin - Energy Demand


The electricity demand for High Appin was calculated according to our energy demand methodology.

The High Appin case study represents a residential and domestic dwelling with 5 occupants. There are several traditional stone buildings (late 1800’s - early 1900’s) with slate roofs and single glazing. The buildings contain typical household electrical appliances.

The total annual electricity demand was calculated to be 18,476 kWh. The cost of electricity is 10.24 p/kWh, therefore the annual cost of electricity is approximately £1,900.
