Ross Bryson:

Ross Graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Master of Engineering Degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 2008. As part of this degree he completed a project on wind turbine blade design in the Wind Energy Group at TU Delft in the Netherlands. As well as aerospace and renewables, he is interested in the energy industry as a whole leading him to embark upon his current period of study for a Master of Science Degree in Offshore Renewable Energy at Strathclyde. He also makes a mean cup of coffee!

Marc Cressey:

Marc is an international student from the United States studying for an MSc inOffshore Renewable Energy. He earned his Bachelors degree in Electromechanical Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology. While there Marc was required to perform various summer internships which provided the opportunity for hands on learning. With an understanding of various energy systems he has taken a particular interest in the ocean and the opportunities it provides.

Ollie Kelleher:

Ollie Graduated from NUI Galway in 2008 with an honours bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his time there he completed a six month work placement with Henneman Engineering, a building services company based in Chicago U.S.A. His final year project consisted of modelling and simulating a wave energy device. Following this, he then worked with Intel Ireland for eleven months as a Process Engineer before returning to University at Strathclyde in Glasgow to complete an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment. Ollie has a particular interest in the Mechanical design of renewable energy systems and their environmental impacts.

Nicholas Morgan:

Nicholas graduated from the University of the West of Scotland with a 2.1 BEng Honours Sandwich Degree in Civil Engineering in 2009. During his four years of study, he also gained, in total, 12 months valuable industrial experience in the engineering and construction industry during summer placements. This time was spent working as a setting out engineer and managing projects on site, which included liaising with clients on a daily basis, ensuring that their needs were met. He has always been passionate about renewable energy and fascinated by the different technologies available. This led him to his current period of study for a Masters Degree in Offshore Renewable Energy.

Andrew Kay:

Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 with a MEng in Aeronautical Engineering. As part of his degree he carried out a project at TU Delft in the Netherlands which focused on the unsteady aerodynamics associated with a horizontal axis wind turbine. In 2009 Andrew took a year out from his studies and travelled around various countries within Australasia South East Asia. With an interest in renewable energy technologies, Andrew embarked on a degree in Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment at the University of Strathclyde. Andrew has recently secured employment with TUV NEL Ltd as a project engineer with the role beginning in august 2010.
