Storage Matrices

Picture

Location

For storage, location was not numerically quantified as with generation. This is because there are only two methods which require specific geography to be installed, areas of elevation for pumped hydro storage, and near-shore deep water (>40m) for compressed air energy storage. Due to this, storage locations must be appraised manually on a case-by-case basis.

Devices

The devices were weighted with an emphasis on technical maturity for increased reliability of the system, and also the capability of long-term storage with a long lifetime. The intention of this is to promote a system which the community can depend on will be sustainable for the future.
