What I brought to the group project:

At first glance my skills as a geologist weren't too useful in a Wind Power Project. However, transferable skills such as data analysis, and model building and conceptualisation were soon proving constructive. My appreciation of physical processes both meteorological and geological was also put to good use.

Comment on Project:

Initially the project found it difficult finding a place in the vast and well-established realm of wind power. However, we soon found the where we could make a contribution.

What I learned from the experience:

This was my first experience of a long-term group project. The first concern was to pull my weight. I learnt to appreciate the value of good communication between each team member and the team as a whole. I learned to get my point of view across to the others, sometimes having to defend my views and other times to put them behind me.
