FUEL CELLS - Experimental Work

INTRODUCTION

Experiments have been carried out to study how the performance and reaction rate of fuel cells were affected by variable parameters such as temperature, current and voltage.

Two types of fuel cells were tested, each of them being useful to study typical characteristics. The fuel cells used for the experiments were:

- Methanol Fuel Cell
- Hydrogen Fuel Cell

Most of the experiment has been carried out using the methanol fuel cell. Nevertheless, the characteristics of methanol and hydrogen fuel cells are very similar.
