One single hub (hydrogen production and station for vessels) with wind turbine & 4 OWCs + 4 wind turbines with additional one OWC (each)
No grid connection - significant reduction of construction cost (e.g. laying transmission cables on the seabed)
Reduced environmental impact
Power-to-hydrogen scheme allows using energy when needed
Proven the HUB can survive in rougher seas therefore would survive in most areas
System summary
4 single wind turbines equipped with one OWC
Each wint turbine is connected to the H.U.B.
H.U.B accommodates liquid hydrogen and production scheme
Energy consumption of whole system would be rather low compared to the output - hence we assumed 5% of total energy producted will be consumed for the system operations (e.g. wind turbines start up).
Total mean power output for considered system would be close to 27 MW. All of that energy will be used to produce liquid hydrogen.
