The numbers in Figure 4 show wind farm projects considered as Round 3 development zones in the UK. The table below shows the names of the wind farms and the associated developers.

The capacity of each of the wind farm varies from 400 MW to 7200 MW [19]. Therefore it is clear that the number of wind turbines in Round 3 will be increasing. Hence developers and operators have to consider a flexible option that allows them to access wind structures at almost all times. Looking at the map above we can also notice that some of the wind farms will cover a significant area. Thus, the option to move around the wind farm and having access to different locations (within the wind farm) must be considered as well.
