Based on our project aim it was necessary to look into various factors related to energy monitoring and analysis. In addition to this research into building integrated renewable technologies was required to recognise important design factors influencing the feasibility and cost-benefit analysis we would be carrying out.

In this section we provide an outline of the literature review carried out. This includes a write up of background information we deemed as being a useful method to inform hotel owners of the range of energy saving possibilities available in todays market.
