Wind Energy Basics
A wind
turbine
uses the kinetic energy in the wind and converts it into mechanical
energy. Turbines are often coupled with a generator to produce
electricity.
The
turbines are generally divided into two types; horizontal axis turbine
and vertical axis turbine. Horizontal axis turbines have better overall
efficiencies.
