Wind power is generated at various scales from a few kilowatts to hundreds of Megawatts. Wind farms are set up with a number of wind turbines at a windy site to produce electric power at a higher scale.
 

The energy yield from these wind farms is dependant on a large number of factors. Some of these are:
 Wind speed, wind direction, site topography, ancillary systems and various mechanical & electrical losses etc.
