Data directly metered at the John Street Substation Meter.
For the period of one week (12/03/97 to 19/03/97) the group obtained half-hourly readings by installing a camera and a videorecorder.
Also, for this same week, the total consumption was metered for the Unicentre.

For the purpose of the John Street Island analysis, the data required were accurate daily and yearly profiles.

As such, by subtracting the metered weekly consumption for the Unicentre, we calculated the weekly consumption for the John Street Island.

This allowed to estimate the John Street Island Electricity Demand to be approximately 40% of the Total Main Substation Demand and therefore calculate the monthly consumption for the Island.

Averaging all weekdays and likewise the two weekend days into separate profiles, the typical daily electricity profiles as shown below.


These daily profiles were used as our reference scenario in the feasibility study for the John Street Island.
