Project Methodology

This is the basic schematic we followed throughout the project that enabled us to reach our goals

• First thing done was to set the overall project aim as a group; make Visitor Centre a Net Zero Energy Building.
• In order to achieve that, we established a thorough approach that was followed throughout the project progress.
• Existing energy demand and supply profiles were evaluated and also different supply options were investigated.
• All possible combinations between heating and electricity supply options were assessed in terms of the demand/supply matching they achieved.
• Best eight combinations (four for each Net Zero Energy type) were further assessed in terms of their financial performance.
• Finally we summarised the results from the demand/supply matching and the financial analysis, and came up with our final suggestions.
