For
a better understanding of the effect of temperature on a fuel cell operation,
measurements of the power output were taken under different values of voltage
and temperatures.
Hence,
three experiments carried out each time having a different temperature.
The
first one was with constant temperature at 10 °C, while the two following were at constant temperatures of 30 °C
and 50 °C respectively.
The
table below summarizes the results obtained from all three experiments:
Values
obtained from the experiments seemed to fit the theory.
For
once more, the experiment that that gave the highest power output was in the
case of the 50 °C,
which was the highest temperature. The lower power can be observed in the case
of the lowest temperature.
Summarizing
all of the above, it can be said that temperature plays a very significant role
in any fuel cell operation while by altering the temperature under the same
conditions a better power output can be retrieved.
