RISK ASSESSMENT OF HYDROGEN BOILER 

Hazard: The combustion velocity of hydrogen is significantly higher than conventional fuels and thus there are difficulties controlling the hydrogen flame.
Risk level: Tolerable risk region.
Risk reduction: The velocity of hydrogen stream to the mouth of the burner and the combustion velocity must be closely matched.


Hazard: Hydrogen boiler located within a dwelling.
Risk level: Tolerable risk region.
Risk reduction: Modifications to the boiler are needed such as automatic safety barriers and special materials for sealing purposes.
