| There were actually two versions of the reanalysis project, one conducted between NCEP and DOE and the other between NCEP and NCAR. If the reanalysis project was accurate, then there should be a linear relationship between the two sources of data, which can be seen in the comparisons below.
Note these data points are for a period of one month in the same sector.
