Topographical Maps Once the reanalysis data have been downloaded, we need to get the topographical map of the area studied. The desired data can be downloaded from NASA website These data don't have a format compatible with WAsP and again must be transformed from SRTM data to WAsP maps. This was done using the map editor software that is a part of the WAsP program, following the instructions from the WAsP homepage.
One important step of this method was to filter the data which contain some errors (spikes and wells) by defining maximal and minimal values for the height of the terrain. Once the SRTM data have been transformed into WAsP maps, these can be used with WAsP.
