A future development of this project could be to develop an overall assessment technique on the lines of the system assessment technique shown on our concepts page. The technique would include an overall spreadsheet linking the separate design spreadsheets:

Application and system design requirements proforma on which to enter the information identified in our review on CHP;

Biofuel yield database;

Prime mover selection sheet including data on established and emerging technologies, and using the assessment sheets we have designed for the different fuel cell types;

Energy system calculation sheet, performing an electricity and heat energy balance between the prime mover output and the energy demand profiles;

Environmental Impact Assessment method as designed in this project;

Cost estimate proforma to estimate full installation costs, operating costs and revenues;

Financial analysis sheet as included in this project
