Inverter description

For our calculations we have considered an average quality inverter. It is known that inverter output signals are rich in odd harmonics due to the square form they usually show.
To make a realistic study we have taken into account only the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th harmonic with 5, 3, 2 and 2 % contribution respectively.

Technical characteristics

  • Single phase
  • Peak power = 3.5 kW
In the calculations the inverters (PV generators) have been considered as current sources supplying energy to the network in phase with the voltage of the last one. In the next picture we can see the current form that the inverter is putting into the network.
