Our interpretation of the project

Initially we didn't know what to make of this topic simply because it was such a broad area. In our first week we allegedly did what all other groups also did in the past.

WE PANICKED!!!!!!
We tried to get to a solution within the first week! We thought battery banks along the length and breadth of the grid was the ultimate solution but obviously not. On reflection, that probably would have been the most boring project in the whole world (the sewage option came in a close second).

What we first had to do, was to look at the whole situation from top to bottom and keep whittling down until we got to an issue that needed addressing. At first this was a rather daunting task but once we got stuck in it was actually quite enjoyable. One of the major problems is that you don't think that you're doing enough work but with a good time management schedule and provided you stick to it things should run pretty smoothly.
