· Review of possible energy efficient technologies for use in case study.

· Decision to go ahead with supply/demand matching at Rottenrow site (using Merit).

· Decision to go ahead with thermal modelling of Rottenrow site (using ESP-r).

· Following Critical Review advised to investigate Case Studies of existing Zero/Low emissions buildings to fully appreciate the current state of the art.

· Defined the direction of our Project which is to develop a methodology for selecting technologies to incorporate within building design.

· During a brainstorming session developed our methodology for the selection of technologies/materials by outlining a selection criteria.

Week 5

· Reviewed the common practice Building Design Process.

· Discovered no methodology currently existing for selection of technologies/materials for use within buildings which strengthened our case for developing a selection criteria.

· Selection criteria for selection of materials/technologies under further development.

· ESP-r Modelling of Rottenrow Site commenced.

· Preparation of information for third Critical Review.

Week 6

· Initial study of lifecycle analysis undertaken.

· Selection criteria for selection of materials/technologies under further development.

· Abandoned high level selection tool as was impractical due to high degree of complexity.

· Altered strategy to developing a more comprehensive reference type selection tool.
