Started work as a trainee assistant to the Civil Engineering Director of a Land surveying firm. From there I moved to undertake an apprenticeship in Civil Engineering in a Consulting Engineering firm in their Geotechnical Section. When I had finished my apprenticeship I had gained an Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Geotechinics and Surveying. I stayed with the firm as a geotecnical technician for just under a year, from there I had various jobs, a tempory CAD technician with a land surveying firm, a junior draughtsman with and opencast mining company, a CAD technician with another Geotechnical Consultancy and a team member with a water company, undertaking the digisation of sewerage plans.
