Introduction to Our Project

Welcome to the home page for Our Project!
We
are a group of four students studying MSc Energy Systems and the Environment
at the University of Strathclyde-Glasgow in Scotland. This project is the
second part of the course. In this part, we were asked to tackle a problem of
practical relevance in close co-operation with industrial personnel. We were
also required to make regular progress reports, cumulating in the final
presentation of a final report to a panel of interested experts. This
web site is what were asked to deliver as an outcome of the 12 week study and
gives information on the team, how we tackled the problem we chose to
investigate, the progress made during the 12 weeks, the results and
conclusions we made and finally closing remarks from the team on more general
and personal thoughts on the project. The Project
Our group chose to develop
a methodology of implementation of renewable energy systems at a small scale.
We also felt that a case study based approach would be the best and hence
chose the village of Lochgilphead for reasons developed in the website. |
