North Sea Beatrice Platform

As part of this project, it was our aim to identify a suitable offshore installation which would help us establish the feasibility of re-using them as an OREC. The Beatrice field was chosen for the following reasons:

The four platforms are in a very good sate after 18 years activities
Existing and suitable electrical submarine cable
The operator of the field try to extend the life
Suitable wind conditions
Environmental concern surrounding decommissioning
