Sanaa Ahmed

Sanaa completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. She is currently studying her MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Renewable energy systems & the environment at the University of Strathclyde and plans to work in the renewable engineering sector to further pursue her interest in creating a more sustainable future.


Laura Clegg

Having completed her bachelors degree in chemical engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Laura is now undertaking an MSc in renewable energy systems and the environment. As part of Scotland's 2050 Climate Group, she is passionate about sustainability and hopes to have a career in the energy or environment sector.


Vithusan Ramanathan

Vithusan studied at the University of Strathclyde, where he undertook a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Systems & the Environment, with which he hopes to work in the renewable industry.

Mercy Leta

Mercy has a degree in Energy Engineering from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and 3 years of experience working in the renewable energy sector in East Africa. She is passionate about making rural off-grid renewable energy projects sustainable through local enterprise development. After her Master’s degree, she hopes to move into development of clean energy projects in rural off-grid communities, focusing on Africa and Asia.

Rory Morrison

Rory studied Mechanical Engineering at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree, he decided to specialise in renewable energy systems at the University of Strathclyde to better focus on the environment and emerging technologies. Coming from the Highlands of Scotland, Rory recognises the potential of renewables for these communities which are often left behind in terms of infrastructure. Rory intends to work in these field after completing his Masters. He also intends to form an acapella group, if you're interested give him a shout.
