Quantitative UK Biofuel Production

This section of Biofuels for Transport primearly attempts to quantify the amount of Biodiesel and Bioethanol that could be produced straight from agriculture within the UK. This quantification is based on the land available for growing the nessisary crops, the crop yields and the subsequent biofuel yield from production.

Naturally there are certain limitations and assumptions involved in this analysis, these can be found here.

In addition, there is a similar quantification for the potential for biodiesel production from waste vegetable oil and fuel oil from tyre pyrolysis.

If you wish to read a summary of our findings please visit this page for bioethanol, this page for biodiesel and this page for fuel from waste.
