The construction stage of the project has been completed, with the building being instrumented and monitored throughout its first year of occupancy. Monitoringl focused on climate, energy utilisation, product performance, internal environment conditions and electrical power demand/supply profile matching and quality.

There are 3 principal areas for further research

further development and field testing of the cooperative control component

study of the contractual arrangements to support the more complex procedures required in the case of building-integrated NRE systems

development of protocols for PES network management where the deeply embedded generation approach is deployed
